FOUNDER & COMPANY DIRECTOR

Riley Nottingham is an actor, producer, singer songwriter and writer who has co-created, co-written, produced and/or acted in three TV series under the Humdrum banner: We are Darren and Riley, Hitstroke FM and Metro Sexual as well as two live productions His Ghostly Heart and Gilligan’s Island: The Musical. He is perhaps best known for starring in four seasons of Toybox, The Gods of Wheat Street and Gilligan in the Australian professional premiere of Gilligan's Island: The Musical.

In 2019 Riley was identified as one of Screen Producers Australia's 'Ones to Watch'. Other producer credits include Ultimate Tag Australia, Junior MasterChef, Hamish & Andy's 'Perfect' Holiday, True Story with Hamish & Andy, Australian Survivor, Married at First Sight, Take Me Out, Love Island Australia, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, The Yearly with Charlie Pickering, Your Call is Important to Us and The Bus to Birra Birra.


Henry Boffin

FOUNDING PARTNER

Henry Boffin is an award-winning screenwriter, director and novelist based in Melbourne whose debut feature film, Strange Creatures, has been picked up for Australian distribution and will be released in theatres later this year. 

As co-founder of Humdrum Comedy. Henry co-created, co-wrote and directed both seasons of Nine Network's series Metro Sexual, where his work on the show garnered him a nomination at the 2022 AWGIE awards. In 2021 he was selected to participate in the inaugural Imagine Impact Australia program, a talent accelerator spearheaded by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment. During the program, Henry wrote sci-fi feature Before the Dying Light with mentor Shaun Grant – a project which has subsequently been picked up for development. 

In 2022 Henry released his debut novel, Speck of the Stars – a science fiction adventure for middle grade readers published by Ford Street Publishing. Recently, his latest feature film script, Lost Souls, co-written with Nicholas Kraak, was shortlisted for the 2024 John Hinde award and now features in the AWG Pathways program.

Nicholas Kraak is a writer and film editor currently based in Vancouver, Canada. In addition to his work on Metro Sexual, Nicholas is the narrative lead, writer and voice over director on the critically acclaimed video game series Cook, Serve, Delicious, which has sold over one million copies. On the series, Nicholas has worked on Cook Serve Delicious 2 (2018), Cook Serve Delicious 3 (2020) and Cook Serve Forever (2024). Nicholas has also written a number of short films, with his latest film, A Picture of Other People premiering at the esteemed Dances with Wolves Film Festival.

In addition to editing Metro Sexual and A Picture of Other People, Nicholas worked in the editorial departments for the animated film Enchantimals, the ABC TV documentary Play to Win, and the animated television series Fruit Ninja.

Nicholas has a Bachelor of Film Production from Griffith University.
